Do you have codependent traits?
“The codependent is only happy when making extreme sacrifices for their partner. They feel they must be needed by this other person to have any purpose.” Sound familiar? Do you worry excessively about what others think of you, suffer from low self-esteem, perfectionism, and constantly try to please others?
Navigating the holiday season can be stressful, but unhealthy boundaries from codependent behaviors, thoughts, feelings, and actions can lead to meeting everyone else’s needs at the expense of your own. Let’s get together and support one another with understanding and compassion. We will learn coping skills and action plans that can help address codependent patterns and move toward recovery into healthier, more satisfying relationships with others, as well as ourselves.
