Asking for help is not easy. At Huntsville Psychotherapy and Counseling Services, we understand your concerns and are here to provide you with compassionate and professional services. Counseling is effective because it offers you the opportunity to talk directly with a skilled professional who can be objective and supportive. You will begin with an initial assessment to determine the specific challenges you may be facing. Working together with your therapist, you’ll establish goals and a general timeline for your progress. You will have access to a variety of individualized treatment options tailored to your unique needs. You’ll find a diverse menu of care options to assist with your needs. These services are designed to assist individuals, couples, and families in pursuit of their personal goals. They can include, but are not limited to:
As couples move through life together, there are bound to be times when the relationship is not meeting the needs of one or both individuals. Counseling as a couple provides a safe place for each person to express themselves and leads both people through recommended approaches for overcoming communication challenges and creating a relationship which gets back on track to meeting both partners’ needs.
One-on-one sessions provide focused attention to your situation. Our therapists bring years of experience and education to your sessions, guiding you to discover your true self and to live your best life. Do you have a particular concern or life event you want to discuss? Learn a little bit about our counselors and their specialities to see how they can work with your individual needs.
In these therapist-led sessions, people with a common concern come together to discover methods for tackling that issue. Groups are small, supportive, confidential, and so very helpful in creating a safe place to explore your feelings and options for growth. The sessions are typically structured to lead the group through a process for improving their mental health. These sessions are usually about an hour each week for a 6-8 week time frame.
Interested in hearing how other people are experiencing life? Support groups are a great way to feel like you are not alone in your situation. These groups are set up so you can join at any time as there is no therapist-led process. A therapist is in the group to help facilitate the discussions and provide options for those who might want to explore additional methods of improving their situation.
